Very nice for gardening November 8, 2009 ElizVail (Colorado) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These gloves fit closely and protect your hands while the lack of bulk gives you almost as much control as you would have with bare hands. They wash easily, and dry overnight. I will often go through a couple of pair in a day as one gets caked with dirt. Even though they've been washed many times, there is little sign of wear.
comfortable protection July 16, 2009 will crystalwater (wisconsin) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought a pair for my mom and my wife. Both have raved about these gloves. They are NOT hot in the summer. They fit very comfortably. When they are dirty if you let the dirt dry, it just falls off. My wife worked with rose bushes and torn trees; she was completely protected. When my wife lost her pair, she would not buy a different kind; but insisted that we spend an immense amount of time looking for them. The gloves were cheap enough that I just bought her a new pair. In short, they are great gloves and my mom and wife really like them.
Very pleased. February 14, 2010 M. Hasenoehrl Bought as a gift for a friend and she loves them. They are a nice fit.
gloves June 24, 2010 Gail J. Cevello I tried the gloves on when they arrived and they fit perfectly. I haven't used them in the garden as of yet!
Very good fit, but a little thin February 22, 2009 E. Swope (Kaneohe, HI USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have been spending A LOT of time in my garden lately. Controlling weeds when you live in the rain forest is practically a full time job. And, somewhere along the way I lost my favorite gloves :( So, not wanting to lose the momentum waiting for seasonal inventory to arrive in stores, I ordered these.
I will say that they fit better, and are more comfortable than just about any other gardening gloves I've owned (with the exception being a very much more expensive pair of leather gloves). I am a bit disappointed in the thickness of the material ("synthetic leather") on the fingers and palms. I will note, however, that they do offer decent protection (better than I would have thought on first glance) from plants with smaller thorns. I have pulled up lots of creeping "pincher" grass without a problem, but they are not so good on things with bigger thorns.
When I received them I thought they look a great deal like the ones at our local hardware store which cost a fraction as much. *but* these are better made, more comfortable to wear and actually do work better than one might think at first glance. However do not be deceived by the "synthetic leather" descriptor into thinking there is a lot of protection or a thick material on the palm/ work surfaces. I am hoping they will wash as well as they are described to (haven't done that yet), which would make the "synthitic" an advantage vs. the leather. I have used them almost daily for a week or 2, and so far am finding them pretty good for light duty work.... Ok and some heavy duty (cutting wood, hauling debris) but I would not use these for pruning rose bushes, or anything with thorns of comparable size.
One more thing: Amzon shipped them a lot faster than they note in the description. I got them in about a week (but I am guessing shipping time is variable).
